Barrel racers sponsored by Kentucky Equine Research are headed for the Super Shootout at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a three-week event being held February 28 to March 19.

In Super Series I, Dona Kay Rule ran her tried-and-true gelding High Valor, getting a paycheck in all three rounds and earning $6,000. Dona, who calls Minco, Oklahoma home, ranked second among those four women that qualified for the Super Shootout from Super Series I.

“Valor gives me everything on the pattern,” Dona said. “To ensure I’m doing my best for him, I rely on supplements developed and proven by Kentucky Equine Research, especially Nano-Q10™ and Race Recovery™.”

Kelley Carrington French and Slice Of Peachfame won the Super Series II, earning $4,750 and qualifying for the Super Shootout.  In a Facebook post, Kelley expressed her appreciation for the mare, “She is truly a blessing to me.”

“I attribute much of this success to the switch to RE-LEVE, a feed developed by Kentucky Equine Research. This feed has allowed my horses to compete at an intense level and schedule without experiencing any more tying-up episodes,” Kelley explained.
