As the children’s song goes, “Make new friends, but keep the old.” Liz Halliday-Sharp embodied the sentiment perfectly this weekend at the Stable View Oktoberfest Horse Trials, winning with both her longtime partner Fernhill By Night and one of her newest horses, Maryville Sir Henry.

“I am so very proud of my old friend Fernhill By Night for giving me everything he had this weekend at Stable View to win the CCI4*-S,” wrote Liz Halliday-Sharp in a Facebook post after the event. The pair were only 0.2 points off the lead after dressage, moving up after a double-clear show-jump round. None of the competitors in the CCI4*-S were able to complete the cross-country under the optimum time. Liz and Fernhill By Night were no exceptions, but the pair was quick enough to maintain its lead, adding only 4.8 time penalties to its score. “This lovely boy and I have been through so much together through the years, and he really fought for me in all three phases. He has such a big heart and he really deserved to win today,” she said.

Liz also won the CCI2*-S with Maryville Sir Henry, saying “I am so excited about the future with Maryville Sir Henry. This special seven-year-old just won his fourth event in a row, and his second International title this weekend! We haven’t been together long, but I really believe in this boy, and we are forming a great partnership.”

Liz relies on Bio-Bloom™ PS to keep her horses looking their best. “We’ve used Bio‑Bloom PS for years,” she said. “We give it to the youngest horses on the farm all the way up to the advanced horses. It’s essential for hoof growth and healthy skin. It makes the horses look and feel so much better.”

Liz also uses EO-3™EquiShure®, Nano-Q10™Restore® SRRiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance.
