KER-sponsored eventers Buck Davidson, Liz Halliday-Sharp, and Jimmie Schramm competed at the Rocking Horse Winter 1 Horse Trials in Altoona, Florida.

Sweeping the two-day Open Intermediate division, Buck won with Carlevo, placed second with Erroll Gobey, and placed third with Park Trader. In the same division, which included 21 competing horses, he additionally earned fifth place with Copper Beech, eight place with Jak My Style, and ninth place with No Remorse.

Buck relies on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds RE•LEVE® Sport and Ovation™ to supply nutrition that ensures his horses perform their best.

Liz placed fourth in Open Preliminary with Run Marvin Run. She and Cooley Quicksilver also placed seventh in the one-day Open Intermediate division.

Liz uses KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds in the U.S. and KER-partner Saracen Horse Feeds in the U.K. She also uses Bio•Bloom™ PS, EO•3™, Restore® SR, RiteTrac™, and Synovate HA® to ensure her horses receive the nutrition they need for optimal performance.

“When you’re training a world-class athlete, it’s important to have a world-class feed,” says Liz. “And we get just that from KER.”

Jimmie placed seventh in Preliminary/Training with Eclaire. Schramm Equestrian relies on diets formulated by the experts at Kentucky Equine Research to provide their horses with optimal nutrition. They use Bio•Bloom™ PS, Nano•E®, Restore® SR, Synovate HA® and KER-formulated Legends® Feeds.

Another horse making an appearance in the Preliminary/Training division was KER Stella, ridden by Anna Kjellstrom. KER Stella used to be part of the research herd at Kentucky Equine Research. She provided routine blood and urine samples for contract research that required Thoroughbred mares and geldings of racing age. During this time she was also trained to run on the high-speed treadmill used in exercise studies. Learn more about the research program.
