KER Eventers on Top of the World After Successful Weekend

Eventers sponsored by Kentucky Equine Research took the top places at events around the world March 21-24, 2019. In the United States Liz Halliday-Sharp and Buck Davidson won the CCI4*-S and Advanced divisions, respectively, at the Carolina International CCI and Horse Trials. Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, Australian eventer Amanda Ross won the CCI4*-S at the Australian Eventing Championships at Wandin Park with Koko Popping Candy.
“Still can’t believe what an incredible week we had at Carolina International!” exclaimed Liz Halliday-Sharp on Facebook. Liz dominated the CCI4*-S, taking first and second place in the division with Fernhill By Night and Deniro Z. Fernhill By Night hit his stride with the short format this winter, adding this win to his previous victories at the Grand-Prix at Bruce’s Field and Ocala Jockey Club CIC3* at the end of 2018. Deniro Z raced around the cross-country course finishing with one of the fastest times of the day to place second behind stablemate Fernhill By Night.
Liz also finished second in the CCI3*-S with Flash Cooley. The pair were tied for first in Flash Cooley’s debut at the level but were beaten by only one second in the tie-breaker.
Liz relies on new antioxidant supplement Nano-Q10™ to help her horses recover between phases. She also uses Bio-Bloom™ PS, EO-3™, Restore® SR, RiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance.
Buck Davidson took top honors in the horse trial at Carolina International, winning the Advanced division with Carlevo. He also finished fourth in the Open Intermediate with Approved Power.
Buck relies on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feed RE-LEVE® Sport to supply nutrition that ensures his horses perform their best.
KER-sponsored eventers also came out on top at the Australian Eventing Championships at Wandin Park. Amanda Ross and Koko Popping Candy were crowned the Australian Eventing Champions in the CCI4*-S. “She (Koko Popping Candy) continues to amaze me… such a competitor. There’s some inter-tribe rivalry brewing now she’s beaten Diesel in the sand dancing!” Amanda said in a Facebook post about the win. Two of “Zarzy’s” stablemates also competed in the CCI4*-S. Dicavalli Diesel finished third and Dondiablo finished fifth in his debut at the level.
Amanda chooses to nourish her horses with EquiShure™, EO-3™, and Synovate HA®.
“When stress levels rise, feed isn’t always eaten or digested as well as it needs to be,” explains Amanda. “EquiShure is one of the best products to ensure all of my feeding and management efforts aren’t wasted, and it makes the horses feel so much better!”
Young rider Sophia Landy also competed in the CCI4*-S, finishing eighth on ESB Golden Geisha and eleventh on her 2018 Young Rider Championships partner Humble Glory.
Jumping clean around both show jumping and cross-country, Megan Jones and RLE Barina moved up from ninth after dressage to finish third in the CCI3*-S.
