Karen O’Connor To Be Inducted into USEA Eventing Hall of Fame
Karen O’Connor will be among the new inductees into the United States Eventing Association’s Eventing Hall of Fame for 2018.
During her competitive career, Karen competed in five Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games, and two Pan-American Games. She was the top lady rider in the world in 1993 and has been named ten times as the United States Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year. She relied on many KER products during her years in competition, including Bio-Bloom PS.
Some of Karen’s memorable horses were USEA Eventing Hall of Famer Biko, Joker’s Wild, Theodore O’Connor, Veronica, and Mr. Medicott. She and Biko earned multiple top-ten finishes at major international events including the Badminton Horse Trials and Rolex (now Land Rover) Kentucky Three-Day Event. With Mr. Medicott, she finished ninth at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where she was also the top rider for the United States.
The formal induction is set to take place in December at the Hall of Fame Gala in New Orleans, Louisiana.
