Endel Ots and Lucky Strike rebounded from a difficult summer to win the 2019 U.S. National Intermediaire Championship at the USEF Dressage Festival of Champions, held August 20-25, 2019, at Lamplight Equestrian Center, in Wayne, Illinois.

Endel and Lucky started the summer on top of the world, having secured a spot on the U.S. Dressage Team for the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru. Tragedy struck as the team horses were en route. A malfunction on the shipping van caused Lucky to scramble and fall. Lucky was unable to continue travelling to the Pan Am Games, and the pair was forced to withdraw.

While Lucky was recovering from his injuries, Endel set his sights on the USEF Dressage Festival of Champions. “I am grateful that Lucky is 100%. He arrived at the Lamplight showgrounds safely, and I am bringing my ‘A game’ to my ‘plan B,’” Endel shared before the competition began. The pair did not disappoint, earning scores that topped 70% in the Prix St. Georges, Intermediaire I, and Intermediaire I Freestyle, winning each class. By the end of the weekend, the pair was crowned the 2019 U.S. National Intermediaire Champions.

Ots relies on KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds to fuel the performance horses in his stable. He chooses RE-LEVE® Sport, a fortified grain-free performance feed designed specifically for sport horses with balanced omega fat sources and fiber-based carbohydrates for optimal performance.
