KER-sponsored driver Chester Weber took top honors in the CAI2* at the Palm Tree CDE at Little Everglades in Dade City, Florida, held January 24-27, 2019. Chester and his team of KWPN geldings moved to the top of the leaderboard after blazing through the marathon course with the fastest time in all seven hazards.

Keeping a team of horses like Amadeus, Boris, Hendrik, Gouverneur, and Edison in tip-top shape requires hard work and dedication from Team Weber. Leading up to FEI World Equestrian Games™ in 2018, Chester worked closely with company president Joe Pagan, Ph.D, an equine nutritionist, to optimize his horses’ feeding programs and conditioning regimens. Weber chooses Restore® SR to ensure his horses meet their electrolyte requirements, EquiShure® to promote efficient digestion, and All-Phase® to meet other nutrient needs without excess energy.

He also used KER ClockIt™, a mobile app developed by Kentucky Equine Research to measure equine heart rate and response to exercise. Kentucky Equine Research interns in Ocala helped Weber use ClockIt to monitor and optimize his conditioning program in preparation for WEG and future competitions.

“Having a team member like KER on your side is really invaluable because they take away the worry of staying on top of the latest in equine nutrition,” explained Weber. “I trust the experts at Kentucky Equine Research.”
